Active Listening - Mindfulness to Others

The fourth workshop in a series of 4 sponsored by The Collaboration for Early Childhood. For more information and to register: https://collab4kids.org

Yoga means to unite. First we unite our minds, bodies and souls through mindfulness; afterwards, we can unite with others.  The first root of yoga philosophy is Ahimsa, non-violence.  We approach life’s challenges with kindness and understanding in action, words and even thought.  This is the attitude of Active Listening.  As we check our posture and our eye contact, we bring our attention to others.  As we open our hearts and make space for understanding, our attitude toward others come into alignment. Partner poses. listening games and activities help with human understanding and connection.

YogaKids Foundations On-line

This online course, made of up 4 webinars lead by Kim Vulinovic, introduces attendees to the YogaKids’ one-of-a-kind way of teaching yoga to children. The YogaKids program is more than just poses. It blends traditional yoga and its benefits with theories of multiple learning styles in a comprehensive, imaginative, and playful approach to education. This revolutionary approach, developed by YogaKids founder, yoga-pioneer/ educator/author Marsha Wenig, has been helping children — along with adults — discover the pleasures and benefits of yoga for over 20 years.

You are not required to watch the webinars at the appointed time, but live interaction is available if you do.

Here is a quote from a resent participant.

“Being able to access the webinar during my own schedule was a huge success. I am so grateful to be able to take this course online. I currently assist a yoga instructor here in our community and this training has actually shown me that there is SO MUCH they could be doing and I am SO excited to do my own classes the way YogaKids is training me!  The training for this course has given me the confidence to be able to start facilitating classes.”
