Mindfulness is a practice of drawing one’s attention to the present moment creating an opportunity for contentment, joy, clarity and focus in one’s life. Yoga is an ancient practice of mindfulness. This workshop will teach yogic breathing and movement techniques that create an atmosphere for mindfulness to emerge. These concepts may be used by teachers and administrators to ease professional stresses and increase awareness of any moment in time. The concepts may be shared with young students to aid in social, emotional and physical development.
