"Yoga Kim" Vulinovic
fun, focus and flexibility since 2001
"Yoga Kim" grew up climbing trees, roller skating and riding her bike in the hills of Pennsylvania. She and her husband raised their two daughters in Oak Park and now enjoy the life of empty nesters. Beginning her yoga practice in 1996 after the birth of her youngest daughter, Kim was surprised to find that yoga helped, not only her physical body, but all aspects of her life. Looking for a career that would balance her family life and include her love of movement, art and children, she became a Certified YogaKids Teacher in 2001 and began her business, YogaKids of Oak Park. In addition, she holds an E200hour Registered Yoga Teacher designation through Yoga Alliance and teaches alignment based, gentle flow classes to adults.
Pre-Covid, Kim taught about 12 children’s yoga classes each week at Montessori Preschools, public schools and yoga studios. She now teaches a more limited amount of classes but continues to creatively theme lesson plans to include music, ecology, academics and character education. Her classes stress the non-competitive aspects of yoga to assure all children’s success and a boosting of their self-esteem.
Kim is a dynamic Yoga Alliance approved trainer for YogaKids’ Teacher Certification, academic and child-care professional inservice events and parenting workshops.
Children everywhere can now join her “live” on zoom or through her YouTubechannel. Her mission is connection, helping the children connect to themselves, their bodies, their spirits, their community and to all of our home, the earth.” Namaste,

I understand how much work and effort it takes to continue moving projects forward. Thank you for ending with the session and discussion of finding and appreciating moments of bliss. These reminders are gifts of my yoga practice - so thank you for adding to that ever-important discussion it was so beautiful to hear the variety in the human experience.
